I learned a stretch in high school that may help, though if your back is hurting that bad you may want to do it slowly and be careful. You sit on a flat surface and fold your legs Indian-style, place your right hand on your left knee and twist your upper body towards it. Repeat for the opposite side. This really helps me when my neck and back are bothering me.
